Lenny Zilz

Vice President of Operations

 

Lenny Zilz is a highly respected hospitality professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Known for his positive energy and zeal for the hotel business, his leadership style is strategic and personal. His career was founded as a manager for several Ritz-Carlton hotels and resorts which has prepared him to offer expertise in the development, pre-opening and management of luxury and upscale properties.

As vice president, Lenny assists in the management of new business development opportunities and the overall strategic growth of the company. He provides direction and leadership to Columbia Hospitality properties and unique venues, as well as handles the development of management contracts, critical paths, licensing, property-owner relations, and team mobilization.

Lenny joined Columbia in 2003. Previously he was the vice president of business development for John Daly, Inc. International, one of the premier event production companies in the world. He was a general manager at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for nearly 15 years at four- and five-diamond properties including Rancho Mirage, Philadelphia, and Mauna Lani. He was also the general manager of El Encanto Hotel and Garden Villas, a historic 84-room hotel in Santa Barbara, California.

He is a member of the Seattle Chamber of Commerce and Washington State Hotel and Lodging Association.

Lenny earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Masters in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
