Lakedale was recognized in the category of “Best Cabins” in the 2011 KING 5 / Evening Magazine “The Best of Northwest Escapes” contest. The contest profiles local businesses and allows readers to recommend and vote on their favorites. Lakedale landed in the Top 5 in the entire Northwest region.

The New York Times listed the San Juan Islands as the #2 place to see in their list of 41 Places To Go in 2011. The publication described that the “eternal lure of the San Juans” is credited by its landscapes where “pastoral hills give way to broody forests and scrappy escarpments that overlook fjordlike inlets.”

Lakedale was voted the #2 Campground in the 2010 Best of Northwest Escapes contest for Evening Magazine and KING 5. The contest profiles local businesses and allows readers to vote for and recommend their favorites.

Lakedale Resort at Three Lakes took the #5 spot for Best Campground in the 2009 Best of Western Washington Awards, voted on by residents of Western Washington. On 82-acres, with three spring water lakes, Lakedale Resort features a variety of accommodations options, including a 10-room lodge, log cabins, canvas cabins, and camping. Lakedale blends just the right amount of outdoor camping with a resort-like ambiance.

Travel + Leisure Magazine announced its 2009 World's Best Awards in July, ranking the San Juan Islands #5 on its list of Top 5 Islands in the Continental U.S. and Canada.

Getting here really is half the fun. The Washington State Ferry route to the San Juan Islands was recently rated on The Society of American Travel Writers’ “Top 10” most exciting ferry rides in the world (2009).

Lakedale Resort was named by both Seattle Bride magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom as a top Puget Sound wedding location (January 2009).

Readers of Conde Nast Traveler name the San Juan Islands #9 of 10 in the Top 10 Islands in North America list.
