Lenny ZilzVice President of OperationsLenny Zilz's 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry have earned him a highly regarded reputation. Known for his positive energy and zeal for the hotel business, his leadership style is marked by his strategic and personal business approach. With a career foundation as a manager for several Ritz Carlton resorts, Lenny offers established expertise in the pre-opening development and management of luxury and upscale properties. As vice president, Lenny assists in the management of new business development opportunities and the overall strategic growth of the company. He provides direction and leadership to Columbia Hospitality properties and unique venues, as well as handles the development of management contracts, critical paths, licensing, property-owner relations, and team mobilization. Lenny joined Columbia in 2003. Previously he was the vice president of business development for John Daly, Inc. International, one of the premier event production companies in the world. He was a general manager at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company for nearly 15 years at four- and five-diamond properties including Rancho Mirage, Philadelphia, and Mauna Lani. He was also the general manager of El Encanto Hotel and Garden Villas, a historic 84-room hotel in Santa Barbara, California. He is a member of the Seattle Chamber of Commerce and past member of the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce. Lenny earned a bachelor of arts in Mathematics and a masters in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. |
